first doodle is a sorta roleswap between sun and moon (sun being the 'manager' and moon being the 'punching bag' except sun is likely More Fair than him), some sunchips, and a bonus winter eclipse bc i like to imagine he's very !!!!!!! about holidays. also a cat. her name is missy its short for missile launcher :)

I hate the Mimic

Just saying. Though I guess the recent EAPS does illustrate something important. A strict redemption arc for Eclipse wouldn't be satisfying. Anything that changes his base personality specifically. If you want a nice Eclipse, that's just Solar. We got Solar at home. Pack it in boys. You can give Eclipse love and friends, but he kinda needs to be a little bit prickly, blunt, rude and difficult or it's just not him anymore. Chili is nice BECAUSE it's spicy. Take that away and it's just tomato sauce. MASM sort of misunderstands in the wrong direction about half the time. Making him cartoonishly evil but somewhat incompetent is entertaining. But you have to let him win now and again, otherwise he's just being abused because he's outnumbered and has no friends. Giving him a crappy wooden knife to make the odds more uneven in a battle for Sun's love and then having him LOSE ANYWAY just isn't narratively satisfying. Who in a story usually faces an overpowered foe with a humble weapon?

Are they a villain? ...or a hero?

Masm Sun x masm Eclipse -

Not in a fundamentally toxic way, but in the way the villains from a cartoon have a genuinely really healthy and stable relationship. Full on respect, genuine love, respectful of each others boundaries, etc. Very much Dr Doofenschmirtz vibes, but as a healthy family unit. They adopt.

Like yeah, this totally evil and absolutely nefarious plan is in action rn but we will need to wrap up by like five thirty, guys, we have a dinner reservation at six.

All of this is for MASM for the record. Sun is a switch and it shows in how quickly he can go from trembling under Eclipse's intense gaze to having Eclipse pinned to the floor and begging. He's like this with all his partners, and it definitely caught most of them off guard their first time seeing him be dominant. Moon? Immediately froze up and started stuttering like a broken TV, he also quickly realized two things. First, Sun had a lot of stamina, and second, Moon was a masochist. Eclipse? As I said, went from having Sun against the wall to being pinned to the floor with Sun biting his neck in about five seconds, and their little dominance war didn't end there. BloodMoon? Considering they are also switches, let's say it was a very interesting night, and both Sun and BM had many bites and claw marks the next morning. Roxy? She's the only partner who hasn't seen Sun's dominant side yet, she's also the only one he hasn't slept with yet, so- Thank you for coming to my TEDTalk.

Suncraft thinks Eclipse is hot, it's canon. He was willing to jump into a relationship in the blink of an eye when Eclipse came to kill them all. It's canon.

Eclipse claiming it was all a ploy to mess with the Love Force only backfiring by Freddy not only forcing him to vow never to date Sun BUT ALSO make him able to FEEL LOVE. IT'S CANON.

They are all three messed up yandere types stuck in constant live drama and triangles and squares and they all need to just kiss and hold hands!
